Myerberg Center Mission: To inspire healthy aging through wellness, creativity, and connection. We are an innovative hub of activity that offers compelling programs in a warm and welcoming environment.
Since 1976, the Edward A. Myerberg Center has been helping adults in Baltimore, Maryland stay active, engaged, healthy, and connected. The Center first opened at a storefront location Reisterstown Road, and moved to its current expansive facility at 3101 Fallstaff Road. The building has expanded many times over the past 29 years. Updates include hybrid-equipped classrooms, a state-of-the-art fitness center, Tech-Knowledge Hub, sun-filled art and ceramic studios, and a 4,300-square-foot event space.
The Myerberg Center is a true community Center. Just ask the 1,000+ members who participate in 125 programs, classes and activities for the entire northwest Baltimore community. Local religious and civic organizations hold their weekly meetings at the Myerberg Center. The Frosburg Room is a popular location for local families’ celebrations and milestone events.
Always bustling with activities and people, the Center offers its members fascinating experiences throughout the area. Members enjoy hundreds of classes each year – in art, literature, history, humanities, technology, health and fitness. They enjoy each other’s camaraderie and friendship while attending festivals and museums. They gather for card games, bridge, or casual conversation over a fresh cup of coffee.
In April 2024 Myerberg joined the Jewish Climate Leadership Coalition, making the commitment to develop, implement, evaluate, and share an annual Climate Action Plan (CAP). Then in June 2024, Myerberg was awarded a North American Climate grant that will be used to replace our commercial refrigerator in our kitchen which will reduce the nationally recognized metric of GWP (Global Warming Potential) by 3,919. Additionally, it will increase efficiency and lower energy costs when compared to our existing model which is over 30 years old. We hope to replace all our older appliances that have a high GWP as well as make other sustainable changes through our action plan as a coalition member.
