JWV Members Invited to March in the National Memorial Day Parade
Calling all Jewish veterans and military service personnel! You are invited to join with members of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States in marching in the National Memorial Day parade on May 25th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, along a 10-block span of Constitution Avenue (between 7th and 17th Streets NW) in Washington, DC. This year marks the 130th anniversary of JWV’s founding and the first Memorial Day parade appearance in over 20 years.
The parade, the largest in the nation, will be televised live on ABC network. Featured in the JWV contingent will be 3 Jewish veterans of World War II who are centenarians who will ride in classic cars.
SpringFest on The Goldsmith Campus on Saturday, April 19!
As you know, this all-ages celebration will bring our entire community together for an afternoon of connection, discovery and fun. Guests will have the opportunity to explore The Associated network, meet agencies and experience the newly renovated spaces that will serve our community for years to come.
SpringFest highlights include:
- Free fitness classes led by the J
- Kids’ activities and family-friendly, hands-on experiences
- Library pop-ups and story times
- Arts, wellness and cultural programs
- Free giveaways
