Judy Schlossberg
Art Instructor
As a young child in Baltimore, Judy Schlossberg looked forward to Saturdays at the Maryland Institute of Art. After school on weekdays, you’d find Judy at Mary’s Art Studio or drawing with the delightful Irv Finifter. She discovered early on that one of her passions was painting.
Judy's college years at the University of Maryland as a Fine Arts Major with some Ed courses introduced her to another love, teaching. Once Judy and her husband were married and settled in this city with two kids, she began teaching art privately to children.
After a detour of 25 years as an interior designer, Judy realized her heart was truly in education, painting and exploring new materials and artistic styles. Now as a teacher again, Judy has come full circle! She paints in acrylics, oils and dyes on silk. She also sketches with pencils, pens and charcoal. Some of Judy's talented students at the amazing Myerberg are the parents of her long-ago, younger artists!
“What a privilege, fun and pleasure to explore art with my classes for the past 16 years! Sweet Sixteen, it is!!”
