Ron Matz

Ron Matz is an Emmy-winning news reporter and a veteran of nearly 50 years in broadcast journalism in Baltimore. Shortly after graduating college, Ron began his career at WFBR Radio. Ten years later he became News Director at WCAO Radio and also began working part-time at WJZ-TV. He later became a full-time staff member at Channel 13 working on the legendary Morning Edition program with Don Scott and Marty Bass.
Ron retired in 2019 but still does some part-time work. He is a proud graduate of Baltimore City College and the University of Maryland in College Park. He lives in Baltimore City.
